Due to the uncertainty in the available spectral resource, there is a need of inimitable challenges in cognitive radio networks. The most common decisive issue is that the performance degradation in cognitive radio ad-hoc networks (CRAHNs) experienced by cognitive users (CUs) due to the variation in the activity of primary users (PUs) in both frequency and space domain, diversity techniques can be represented an efficient way to address this issue. In this paper, we propose a link reliable joint path and spectrum diversity technique by modifying D2CARP with link quality metric such as CETX instead of hop count for effective use of spectrum in CRAHNs, is referred to as Link Reliable Dual Diversity Cognitive Ad-hoc Routing Protocol (LR-D2CARP). Make use of both link reliable path and spectrum diversities, CUs can switch dynamically to different link reliable paths as well as spectrum bands for communicating with each other in the presence of frequency- and space-varying PU activity. The simulation results reveal the effectiveness of our protocol in CRAHNs.Keywords

The advancement of science and technology had made mobile ad hoc network an important tool to access network of next generation. Recently, numerous multipath routing protocols for mobile ad hoc network are reported in literature. Each routing methods works based on their salient feature, but failed to control congestion, energy efficiency, overhead packets, signal stability during data transmission which leads to edge effect, signal decay and bottleneck situation of the bandwidth consumption. In this paper a novel approach havely Geographical Distance based Ad Hoc On-demand Distance Vector Routing (GD-AOMDV), which selects the path based on transmission distance value to limit and control the congestion and control overheads has been proposed. The salient feature of the proposed model is that it establishes a relationship between path distance and MANET design parameters including transmission range, consumption of energy and bandwidth. The accuracy of the proposed scheme is analyzed and validated with the experimental results in respect to various flow using NS2 simulations.- A Simulation Based QoS Review of Multipath Routing Protocols for MANET

A MANET is an interconnection of mobile devices by wireless links forming a dynamic topology without much physical network infrastructure such as routers, servers, access points/cables or centralized administration. The multipath routing protocols establish efficient communication within the network by discovering multiple routes between a pair of source and destination in order to have load balancing to satisfy Quality of Service (QoS) requirements. In this paper, the QoS comparison of three multipath routing protocols are carried out in terms of five scenario patterns such as RWM, RPGM, MGM, GMM, and PMM in two different traffic patterns such as CBR and TCP using NS2 and Bonn Motion. The multipath routing protocols AOMDV, OLSR and ZRP have been selected for simulation due to their edges over other protocols in various aspects. Keywords

The standard bodies accepted elliptic curve cryptography as an efficient and alternative public key cryptosystem for the next generation cryptographic applications. The most dominant operation in this cryptosystem is the scalar multiplication. In this paper, we study various scalar multiplication algorithms with respect to the efficiency, average hamming weight and memory requirements etc. This paper gives an idea and the areas for which the researchers can proceed further. Keywords

The demand of multimedia video streaming services in MANET is expected to significantly grow in the next years. Video streaming services require the provison of Quality of Service (QoS) and Quality of Experience (QoE) are the qualitative measures of the videos have to be delivered over wireless communication networks, but QoE reflects the user perception. In this paper, we proposed PE-GD-AOMDV protocol to increase the quality of video and made assessment by using EvalVid with NS2 framework to the quality of video transmission. PE-GD-AOMDV routing on H.264/MPEG-4 AVC video streaming is evaluated under both Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) and Enhanced Distributed Coordination Function (EDCF). Simulation results show that the PE-GD-AOMDV performs better than AOMDV with respect to PSNR and Throughput. Keywords
